What is the value of the acquisition to CYA?
The acquisition provides value to CYA by enabling it to invest in greater platform support and more advanced products. It also allows CYA to increase its North American sales channels and leverage enChoice’s extensive services organization within its existing markets.

What is the value of the acquisition to enChoice?
The acquisition provides significant value to enChoice:

  • It enables enChoice to extend its portfolio of software products and services to EMC Documentum customers.
  • It allows enChoice to establish an international presence, as well as a stronger foothold on the East Coast.
  • It enables enChoice to offer CYA’s granular recovery and replication solutions to existing customers.

When will the acquisition close?
The acquisition is expected to close in January, 2009.

Will CYA change its name, and if so, when will this change occur?
CYA will not change its name. However, effective January 1, 2009, we will be known as CYA Technologies, An enChoice Company.

Will CYA remain located in Connecticut?
Yes.

enChoice appears to be very IBM-centric. What does this mean for your EMC Documentum offerings? Continued investments will be made in platforms CYA currently supports such as EMC Documentum. The goal is for both CYA and enChoice to leverage each other’s strengths and expand the combined entity’s offerings portfolio.

Will EMC Documentum continue to endorse your products?
Yes. We will continue to receive the same level of endorsement and support as always from EMC.

Does the acquisition change your “Designed for EMC” accreditations?
No. The “Designed for EMC” designation denotes products that have been successfully tested and validated on EMC platforms, and the acquisition will not affect our products’ accreditation.

What does the acquisition mean for CYA customers?
CYA will continue to operate as it has to-date with no changes. We will continue to release CYA products with no disruptions, and will maintain our support of both EMC Documentum and IBM FileNet releases.

This acquisition will benefit our customers by enabling us to leverage greater resources to enhance our existing products, as well as develop innovative new products for protecting ECM system information.

Will I have different points of contact for product support and sales?
No, your existing CYA sales and support contacts will remain the same. Will new product releases be delivered on schedule? Yes. There will be no disruptions to the CYA product roadmap.
