CYA Solutions Achieves “Ready for IBM Tivoli Software” Validation

CYA with IBM Tivoli Provides Complete Protection
Against All Types of ECM System Information Loss

Shelton, CT – May 5, 2007 – CYA Technologies, the leading provider of complete granular recovery solutions for enterprise content management (ECM) systems, announced today that its solutions have achieved “Ready for IBM Tivoli Software” validation.

CYA’s Connector solution integrates with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager to provide cost-effective storage of information captured by CYA SmartRecovery. CYA SmartRecovery enables the hot (online) backup and granular recovery of ECM content and metadata that has been lost or corrupted due to partial information loss incidents, which are caused by common, everyday occurrences such as programmatic, user, and logical errors, malfeasance, and metadata corruption. With Connector, captured information can be automatically archived to Tivoli, where it can be accessed at any time for fast and easy recovery of one, several, or thousands of objects without any ECM system downtime.

CYA’s solutions were awarded the “Ready for IBM Tivoli Software” validation because IBM has determined after a careful evaluation that they met IBM’s criteria for compatibility with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), and have been proven to successfully integrate with TSM. Existing joint deployments include Banco de Espana, Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Wolters-Kluwer, SuperValu, Fairfax County, VA Government, and more.

CYA solutions provide several benefits related to ECM system information protection and integrity when deployed with TSM:

  • Complete protection from all types of ECM system information loss – Ensures recovery from both partial information loss incidents and full system failures and disasters.
  • Improved recovery point objectives (RPO’s) – CYA SmartRecovery works in conjunction with TSM to reduce the data loss window in the event of a full system failure to within 15 minutes.
  • Reduced application downtime & improved recovery time objectives (RTO’s) – CYA SmartRecovery both captures and recovers repository information back to its original state within minutes while the ECM system remains online, improving RTO’s and greatly reducing the need for an offline, full system restore.
  • Reduced storage costs – CYA Connector automatically archives information that is captured by CYA SmartRecovery to TSM in order to take advantage of its cost-effective storage capabilities.

“The ‘Ready for IBM Tivoli Software’ validation is proof of our commitment to ensure that our solutions can be deployed in the most efficient, cost effective manner possible,” said Wayne Crandall, president and CEO of CYA Technologies. “IBM is a market leader in storage solutions, and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager has a proven track record of supporting world-class enterprise storage implementations. This validation gives our existing and prospective customers confidence that they can successfully leverage Tivoli to fully protect and ensure rapid access to all of the complex information captured by CYA SmartRecovery.”
