Enables IBM FileNet P8 Customers to Protect Critical Business Information

Tempe, AZ – May 15, 2012
–enChoice Inc.®, today announced the availability of CYA SmartRecovery™ for IBM® FileNet® P8 5.0 and 5.1. This new release of CYA SmartRecovery™ enables customers on IBM FileNet P8 4.x and 5.x to protect their P8 investment and facilitate compliance by ensuring the integrity, recoverability and accessibility of repository information.

IBM FileNet customers are operating in a global environment requiring 24x7 availability of the P8 repository. According to IDC, non-structured data is predicted to grow by 48% in 2012. These two factors result in the shrinking of traditional "nights and weekends" backup windows or even becoming not existent. CYA SmartRecovery is the only backup solution that is IBM FileNet aware, enabling a "hot" backup of the IBM FileNet P8 repository while ensuring synchronization of the underlying components including the metadata to facilitate industry compliances.

A top 10 insurance provider implemented IBM FileNet P8 to provide clients with the best customer service by streamlining their process to submit claims. This initiative eliminated unnecessary administrative tasks and costs by avoiding process delays. As they rolled out the ECM system, several hundred claims were lost due to the system administrator executing a query. The only way to recover that information was to restore their entire system infrastructure. This resulted in the claims processing system being unavailable for eight hours - causing tens of thousands of dollars of financial loss and manual processes to restore just the system that was affected.

The Company implemented CYA SmartRecovery to insure this incident would not reoccur, and to avoid unnecessary system downtime for backups to protect their investment. After implementing CYA SmartRecovery, they experienced another incident. CYA SmartRecovery protected their IBM P8 system, providing them the ability to recover only the information that was affected in a "hot" mode resulting in no disruption to the users while keeping the claims processing system online. The result was CYA SmartRecovery saved the business time, money and insured the information was restored to its original state.

"This release enables IBM FileNet P8 customers to protect business information and meet stringent service level agreements", said Mike Fernandes, VP Product Development at enChoice. "Adding support for P8 5.1 furthers our commitment to provide all P8 customers with the means to fully protect their information assets and remove unnecessary disruptions to their business."

Integrating with IBM FileNet P8 ensures data integrity, helps meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs), and safeguards against logical failures. The easy to use web-based user interface allows a single administrator to perform all functions of backup in addition to the recovery of one, several, or thousands of objects that are to be restored back into the repository in their original state without taking P8 offline. It also works seamlessly with traditional backup solutions such as IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, EMC NetWorker, and Symantec NetBackup to reduce data loss windows to just 15 minutes in the event of a disaster.
