New Software Release Includes a Data Integrity Module for Content Analysis and Consistency Checking

SHELTON, Conn. – August 22, 2006 – CYA® Technologies, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of CYA SmartRecovery™ 4.1 with the new Data Integrity Module (DIM). CYA SmartRecovery provides the only recovery solution that captures and recovers discrete content and its associated audit trails at the incident level in response to data loss as a result of corruption, viruses or human error without system downtime.

CYA SmartRecovery is used by Global 2000 organizations to achieve data recovery directives related to compliance, eDiscovery and federal regulations.

Managing the relationships between content and metadata within an enterprise content management (ECM) system is vital in order to preserve the history and integrity of a working document (e.g: audit trails, digital signatures, workflows, etc.) The new DIM module, which is a fully-integrated utility within CYA SmartRecovery, performs analysis and consistency checks on the information within EMC Documentum. The DIM functionality:

  • Runs over 300 integrity checks on records to identify corruption or inconsistencies between the content and its metadata stored in the repository.
  • Categorizes the integrity checks by severity to help administrators prioritize which issues to resolve first.
  • Generates a report of inconsistent or corrupt records for an administrator to take corrective action.
